Earth Day Festival Booth 2026
The Horse as a native species to North America is an “integral component of the Natural System,” as stated by the Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act 1971 (PUBLIC LAW 92-195).
A Keystone Species is defined as one having a disproportionately important role in its natural environment relative to its abundance. It effectively holds its habitat in place.
The wild horse maintains, protects and helps to rebuild environmental systems and allows other native species to thrive—all working to keep nature in balance. Our aim is to demonstrate its role as a keystone species.
