Henry Merrill

Head Trainer, Henry Merrill Horsemanship

Henry Merrill Horsemanship is rooted in a legacy spanning three generations, tracing back to 1878, when the Merrill family proudly embraced stewardship of the horse. That ethos revolves around living life on our terms and adhering to a unique code. For us, that code unequivocally prioritizes the horse – putting their well-being first, with the understanding that serving the horse is a reciprocal act, benefiting both the equine companion and oneself

Training by Henry Merrill Horsemanship

Self regulation is essential to developing any confident and content horse, even more so with formerly wild horses. AMP partners with Henry Merrill to give your mustangs the most balanced foundation possible.

Henry Merrill is a legendary Oregon cowboy, 3rd generation horseman, and on special assignment at AMP to raise mustang awareness.

BLM Tag 6583 (Now Reata, our 2020 Sand Springs HMA Mustang Mare) receives early touches from Henry.
